I’m Katya, a local dog trainer in Colinton. I live just a minute up the road from Colinton Village, and my puppy classes run right here.

A trainer close to home

I work one to one or in small groups, so every client gets enough attention. I’ve worked with many local dogs and their people over the years.

Group classes take place in my garden in Colinton, and indoors at the Pentland Scout Hall on Spylaw Street in winter. For private training I can come to you, or we can meet at mine, and sometimes we head to Spylaw Park or Campbell Park for specific exercises.

I’m a certified ABTC Animal Training Instructor and a member of the Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT), and I only use reward-based training. It makes learning fun for you and your dog, and builds a strong bond between you.

    Five Saturday classes where your puppy learns good manners and to listen to you, even with other dogs around. Groups are small, so every pup gets proper attention from me.

    £120 for a block of 5 classes

  • Puppy Classes Level 2

    The next step once your pup has finished Level 1. We build on everything you’ve learned and take it outside, with the last two classes in the park for real-life practice.

    £140 for a block of 5 classes

  • Private Training

    For a specific issue, or when you’d just like a more personal approach. We start with a proper conversation, then I build a training plan around you and your dog.

    £85 initial consultation, then £55 per session
